In Qargo, understanding the difference between “Requested Date” and “Actual Date” is crucial for effectively managing orders and trips. These date fields help streamline operations and enable precise filtering in different workflows. Below is an explanation of these terms and how you can filter by them.

What is “Requested Date”?

“Requested Date” refers to the date entered or captured when an order is created. This is the date intended for the requested action or order creation, and it serves as the basis for date filtering within the Orders List.

What is “Actual Date”?

“Actual Date” represents the date when the order or trip is actually planned to take place. This may differ from the requested date and is used for filtering within the Trips List.

Key Differences Between Requested Date and Actual Date

  • Requested Date: Captured at order creation, used for date filtering in the Orders List.

  • Actual Date: Represents the actual scheduled date, used for date filtering in the Trips List.

How to Filter by Requested and Actual Dates

Steps for Customising Filters:

  1. Open the Trips or Orders page, depending on your workflow.

  2. Access the 'Edit Columns' button

  3. Enable the columns for both “Requested Date” and “Actual Date” to ensure they are visible in your view.

  4. Determine which field you want to filter by: - If filtering by Requested Date, apply your filter on the column labeled “Requested Date.” - If filtering by Actual Date, apply your filter on the column labeled “Actual Date.”

This approach ensures flexibility and allows users to quickly toggle or filter based on their needs, regardless of whether they are working with orders or trips.
