Q. I have an integration with a fleet management system (FMS) in Qargo and would like to be able to see more details about my driver's breaks and rest times. Is this possible and how do I do it?
A. Yes! It is possible to view the driver break, rest and drive times when using a supported integration. Although Qargo integrates with a number of telematic providers, not all integrations will support this type of functionality.
We currently offer this functionality for users with Transics and Trimble integrations, and will continue to roll out these features across other FMS providers, including Samsara coming very soon!

Resting This indicates the amount of time the driver has been in resting status.
BreakThis indicates the amount of time the driver has been on break status.
DrivingThis indicates the driver is actively driving and shows next break and rest times.

Transics
To pull DRIVER data, add the 'Transics ID' associated to the Driver
Navigate to RESCOURCES > Drivers menu
Select the Driver, and scroll to the Transics panel in the driver profile
Enter the Transics ID number and click SAVE
To show AXLE WEIGHT, add the 'Transics ID' to the Trailer profile.
Navigate to RESCOURCES > Vehicles menu
Select the trailer, and scroll to the Transics panel in the trailer profile
Enter the ID number and click SAVE
Trimble
To pull DRIVER data, add the 'Trimble ID' associated to the Driver
Navigate to RESCOURCES > Drivers menu
Select the Driver, and scroll to the Trimble panel in the driver profile
Enter the Trimble ID number as it appears in Trimble.
'For' field will default to DRIVER.
Set the Mobile App toggle on if required
Click SAVE
📚 Mobile App toggle is for drivers that use the Trimble Mobile App ONLY and are not linked to a tachograph.
To show vehicle details, add the 'Trimble ID' to the Vehicle profile.
Navigate to RESCOURCES > Vehicles menu
Select the vehicle and scroll to the Trimble panel in the vehicle profile
Enter the ID number and click SAVE
📚 Data must be present in the FMS in order to be available in Qargo, ie: if mileage is not visible in Transics or Trimble, it will not show in Qargo.

Stored driver activity events on trips
Breaks and rests are stored on the trip itself as individual Planned (scheduled ahead by the planner) or Actual (already taken) events, each with a start time and a duration, so the history stays available after the trip is complete and feeds the trip's duration metrics.
🧰 A planned break or rest is built into the trip's schedule: a planned 45-minute break pushes the following stops and the delivery ETA back by 45 minutes. The ETA also factors in ongoing breaks/rests to estimate when they will end.
Adding, editing or deleting a break or rest
A break or rest can be added from three places on a trip:
From Add information on the trip detail page
1. Navigate to TRIPS > Trips.2. Open a relevant trip.
3. Click Add information > Add break/rest on General info section.
From Execution events history on the trip
1. Navigate to TRIPS > Trips.
2. Open a relevant trip.
3. Find the Execution section.
4. Click ‘+’ icon on the Events row.
From the planning board on PLANNING page. at the time the break or rest should start.
1. Navigate to PLANNING.
2. Go to the Planning board.
3. Right-click a relevant trip at the time the break or rest should start.
The Execution Events history lists every recorded activity with its time, event and source. Clicking an activity that has a known location zooms the map to where it happened.
A break or rest must start inside the trip's route window (between the first departure and the last arrival). A planned break is rejected on an in-transit trip whose last arrival has already passed.
🧰 This stored rest and break information is considered for pricing: rate cards can charge using the Driving time (excl. rest/break) or Rest/break time options, so an overnight or weekend rest on a trip isn't priced as if the driver worked the whole time.
Note
While PTV's automatic rest-time calculation is active on a trip that hasn't started, its planned breaks and rests are calculated by PTV and can't be edited by hand. Actual events can still be added. Once the trip has started, planned events become editable too.
Breaks and rests are not drawn as shaded segments on the planning board timeline.
The feature stores the activities, but it does not run EU driving-time compliance checks, calculate weekly totals, or produce a driver-hours report.
The Route section on Trips has changed to Execution. Execution sits directly below General info, with the Route row (distance, duration, ETA, emissions) inside it next to resources and the Tracking and Events row.
Transport companies that have manually reordered their trip page sections keep their own order. Execution can be dragged back to the top, but the Route row can't be moved back into General info.
