Q: Does Qargo integrate with WhatsApp, and is it possible to communicate with drivers through it?
A: Yes! Qargo now integrates with WhatsApp! With the integration you can link your WhatsApp business account to Qargo. This allows you to manage your conversations from within Qargo.
🔔 To make use of the integration you need to have your own WhatsApp business account.
Using WhatsApp in Qargo
Once the integration is active, the WhatsApp bubble will show in all the places where you can currently assign your drivers.

Resource cards
Everywhere you see the resource card you will find a WhatsApp icon next to the resource to quickly open the chat. Pages include:

Start a conversation
The driver chat interface opens up similar to the intercom chat. In this chat window you’ll be able to send messages to your driver.
The driver can open a message and start a conversation (no charges apply)
The Qargo User can open a conversation by sending a message template (charges apply - see below)
This is done by clicking the corresponding button.
Once the driver accepts the message the conversation will be opened and you will be able to send whatever you want.
All message history is retained in the app.
Use the 'Resource groups' option to filter on a subset of drivers
Important:
WhatsApp only allows business accounts to a message to the driver if the conversation is opened. A conversation is considered open when the driver has sent a message in the last 24h. However, the business account can send a *registered template message to the driver for them to accept and open up a conversation that way.
(*Sending template messages will incur a 2cent WhatsApp charge, paid directly to Meta.)
