Q. I am getting an error message in the corner of the screen when I try to save. What is the error and how do I resolve it?
A. The system will generate a Validation error if you are trying to save a request which cannot be completed due to a conflict.
This error is different to a data entry error which will add a red box around the field that needs to be corrected.
When encountering a validation error, it is now much easier to find which object caused the error by having a link to the object on the error. When a validation error is shown, there is an option to directly navigate to the objects causing the error.
Click the ‘show more details’, the error details page is opened where all the objects that caused the error are added.
From the error details page click on the object tags and the system will then open a new tab to the object causing the issue.
The new tab immediately opens to the object that is causing the error so that the user no longer needs to struggle to find it:
