When pricing calculations are based on distance, it is now possible to exclude certain stops from order route distance calculations. These will therefore not be included in pricing calculations.
The decision between including or excluding these stops for pricing will have an impact on:
Price calculations where distance or duration metrics are used
Cost/revenue distributions
Toll cost estimations for the order
CO2 emissions calculated for the order
Configure Exclusions
Under CONFIGURATION > Organisation settings, navigate to the 'Routing > Ordered route: stops to exclude for pricing' .
Stops that can be excluded:
Depot (unload + load goods; drop + pickup container)
Parking (uncouple + couple trailer; uncouple + couple chassis)
Start day / End day
Internal stop actions can also be excluded from the order route distance calculations.
To define this navigate to the LOCATIONS > Internal stop locations menu.
Click on the specific stop, toggle on if this should be excluded.
The stops that have been excluded from distance/stop calculation do still remain visible on the order detail, including for customer portal users:
For clarity the map now includes the option to switch between the Order route and the Trip route. Where stops have been excluded on the order, the distance shown will reflect this.
The order route is the one used for pricing.
The order route visualisation excludes the stops with the configured labels
The trip route shows all stops.
This toggle is not available for customer portal users.
Stops can now be configured as conditions to exclude Internal stops on customer rate cards.
