When you create an order or edit an order afterwards, you can add which product or product type it contains. Once selected, it will automatically complete several important details so you save time. Those details can be added in Configuration.

Add a product type

  • Navigate to RATES > Order input > Product options.

  • Click on 'Product types'

  • Click on 'New product type'.

  • Add the details of that new product type and save it.

  • Repeat until all relevant product types are created and saved.

  • Add the name of the product type, a code, a description etc.

    • Option to enable Product Type for customer use when creating orders in the portal.

  • Restrict a product type with limited vehicles, drivers, subcontractors or containers.

  • Limit a product type to a certain transport service.

Add a product

Once the product types are created, you can start adding products.

  • Navigate to RATES > Order input > Product options.

  • Go to 'Products'.

  • Click on 'New product'.

  • Add the relevant products and add the already created product types.

Customise which fields are shown on the Products page

You can customise which fields to be added on the Products page.

  • Navigate to CONFIGURATION > Additional fields

  • Click on 'Cargo' on the left sidebar

  • Click the 'Edit' icon (pencil) to add or update a field

  • Make that cargo item active or inactive. Only active items will be shown in the Products page.

  • Select the transport services this product is available on.

  • Toggle on/off to indicate if this field is always visible and/or is required.

If the field required does not exist in the default list, add extra fields by clicking on the tab 'Custom fields'.

  • Click 'Add custom fields' and a side panel will display where the new field can be added.

  • Options under 'Type' include:

    • Text - free form text field, single or multi-line available

    • Number - numerical values only

    • Toggle - Add the option to toggle field on/off

    • Date - Date values only, side menu to select preferred format

    • Dropdown - Use if multiple options are available for the user to select

    • Tag - Tag labels can be added, along with a corresponding colour

    • URL - Option to add a website
