Navigate to RATES > Order Input and click Price Index (fuel surcharge).
Here you can configure a surcharge that is calculated based on a price index or percentage index. This is often used if you like to surcharge the fuel, which will be calculated on the transport charge.
Surcharges based on an index have the same configuration options as the general surcharges. The only difference is the Index list section. When completing the Index(*) field, you will see that a second column will appear in the Index list section.
You choose between:
Price index: based on a fixed value.
Percentage index: based on a percentage.
Price index
The price index is calculated based on the value mentioned in the field "Value in %" combined with the base index added in the price list/rate card where you use that surcharge.

On an order, the price will be calculated as follows:
(Value in % - Base value) / Base value
Here you can indicate the value and the validity date. The collection date in your order will decide which value will be used of the price index list.
