Q. How does the system handle the difference between legacy County-based pricing and the newer Eircode system in Ireland?

A. The system supports the use of both Eircodes and Irish counties as configuration options for pricing and postcode zones.

We recognise that some transport carriers in Ireland maintain legacy rating structures based on Counties, which often span multiple Eircode areas with non-matching borders. Relying solely on Eircode mapping for these carriers can lead to rating errors.

To ensure pricing accuracy, you can configure pricing and zone rules directly using the Irish county as the geographical identifier. This capability allows for the precise implementation of County-based rate cards, aligning your rates exactly with the terms used by specific carriers or legacy systems.
