In this article you will find instructions on how to configure Qargo to use your own domain/mailbox to send emails instead of [email protected]. Once the mailbox is linked, the system will automatically detect it when completing email tasks and send the emails from your own mailbox. A mailbox can only be linked to one tenant at a time.

Configuring a Linked Mailbox in Qargo must be completed by a SuperAdmin user.

The configuration differs depending on the type of mailbox in use. Click the relevant mailbox type for more details.

Individual Mailbox.

  1. Go to Organisation Settings tab.

  2. Scroll down to new panel Linked Mailboxes

  3. Click Link New Mailbox

  4. You will be redirected to enter the email address you are adding. It is currently only possible to link Outlook or IMAP based mailboxes (no Gmail).

5. Confirm any permissions required by your email provider. This will authorise the Qargo API to use your mailbox. You may be redirected to a login screen and asked to enter your credentials.

Once authorised you should be redirected back to Qargo and you will now see the email in your Linked Mailboxes. The API Link Status should be highlighted green 'Linked'.

Congratutions! You have successfully linked your mailbox to work with Qargo.

Go to the shared mailbox setting in the Exchange admin console, select Delegation , click edit for the ‘send as’ and add the mailbox as a sender.

Also make sure incoming emails to the shared mailbox are forwarded to the individual mailbox:

Click Mailflow settings, Email forwarding, enable the forward and click Search email under Forward to internal email address . Select the mailbox.

In Qargo add the shared mailbox email address to the Other senders and click on the save button.

Even though the individual mailbox is required, the recipient won’t see it anywhere. Emails will appear to have been sent from the shared mailbox.
