Explanation how you can make locations visible on the customer portal

Introduction

Locations that are visible on the customer portal can be created in multiple ways:

  1. Locations that are created by customers on the portal

  2. Locations that are created by internal users at your company that are made visible on the customer portal

When users enter an order on the customer portal then they can create new locations:

Or they can also go to the locations tab and click on create location:

In Qargo, those locations will be stored as accessible to this customer only:

These locations will not be visible for other customers.

Locations created by internal users of your company

When an internal user creates a location, then they can decide if it is visible on the customer portal:

You have the following options:

  1. Available for a single customer portal customer: you can then decide which customer can see this location

  2. Available for all portal customers: everybody who uses the customer portal can see this location

  3. Not available: this location will not be visible on the customer portal

Adapting existing locations

It is possible to change the customer portal visibility for existing locations:

  • If the location is only used by one customer then you can switch a location to "Available for a single portal customer". If the location has been used by 2 or more customers, then you can only switch it to available for all portal users or not available.
