Configure fields in Resources

Configure fields on resource profiles under Additional fields and resources. If default Qargo fields are not sufficient, add custom fields and select which resources they apply to. Leaving the field blank will set the custom field to show on all profiles.

Qargo has default fields in all Resource profiles, however if needed users can add / remove fields from the resource profile, depending on what is needed.

Configure additional fields on a resource profile

  • Navigate to CONFIGURATION > Additional fields

  • Select 'Resources' in the left sidebar

    • Click on 'Intermodal connections' to add / modify a field on an intermodal connection

There are 2 tabs:

  • 'Default fields' show all the included Qargo fields. Fields highlighted in green are active on the profile. Fields in grey are available, but require activation to show in the resource profile.

    • Click on the pencil icon and set 'Active' to make the field visible

  • 'Custom fields' enables users to manually add specific fields needed for resources. Fields can be enabled based on specific resources.

    • Click 'Add custom field'

    • Give the field a unique name (required)

    • Select the field type, using the option that best fits what is needed (required)

    • Select if the field is to 'always show' and if it's 'required' (toggles)

    • Add a description if needed (optional). This will only show to internal users

    • Select which resource types the new fields apply to, multiple options can be selected. (Optional)

🧰 Leave the 'Resource type' blank to apply the new field to ALL resource profiles. This will show in the 'Additional information' section.
