Summary
What is it?
A Recently visited pop-out in the top navigation bar displaying the 20 most recently opened operational objects for the current user, sorted newest first.
Supported object types include orders, trips, trip groups, invoices, credit notes, and templates.
Why does it exist?
Users regularly navigate away from records they were just working on and need to return to them. Previously, this required re-searching, re-filtering, or keeping additional browser tabs open.
How does it work?
When an operational object is opened, Qargo records it in the current user's Recently visited history.
Clicking the Recently visited icon in the top navigation bar opens a compact pop-out with recent records and enough context to identify each one at a glance.
Clicking any row navigates directly to that object.
Use Cases
A planner creates a new trip from the Planning view, then navigates away to check another order. Recently visited provides direct access back to the newly created trip without searching.
A finance user reviews multiple invoices during a reconciliation session and needs to return to a specific invoice opened earlier. Recently visited surfaces it instantly without re-filtering the invoices list.
Terminology
Term | Definition |
Recently visited | The pop-out in the top navigation bar listing the 20 most recently opened operational objects for the current user. |
Operational object | A record in Qargo representing a transport operation - includes orders, trips, trip groups, invoices, credit notes, and templates. |
Reference pill | A visually distinct label in each pop-out row showing the object's reference number or identifier. |
How to Use Recently Visited
LOCATE the Recently visited icon (clock/history icon) in the top navigation bar.
CLICK the icon to open the pop-out. The 20 most recently opened operational objects appear, sorted newest first.
REVIEW each row, which displays:
The object reference in a visually distinct pill (e.g. order number, invoice reference, trip group reference)
The current status badge where applicable (Ready to invoice, In transit)
Primary context - customer name, route, or financial total depending on object type
Time since the object was last opened
CLICK any row to navigate directly to that object. The pop-out closes automatically after navigation.
Limitations
The list is capped at 20 recently visited items.
Switching browsers or clearing browser data resets the list.
Only the current user's history is shown - records opened by other users are not displayed.
Re-opening a record moves it to the top of the list; duplicate entries are not created.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Resolution |
The Recently visited list is empty | No operational objects have been opened in the current browser session. Navigate to any order, invoice, or trip to begin building the list. |
A recently opened object is not appearing in the list | The list holds a maximum of 20 items. Older records are removed as new ones are added. Only objects opened as drawers, modals, or full pages are tracked - quick-preview mode is not included. |
The list does not carry over between browsers | The Recently visited history is browser-specific. Switching to a different browser will show a separate or empty history. |
Audit log access is no longer in the top navigation | The audit log button previously located in the top navigation bar has been replaced by the Recently visited icon. Access audit logs via the User menu instead. |
