Introduction

The option to place an order on hold and block it from being planned is now available. The feature is available for a single order or an order planned on a trip with other orders. When part of multiple orders planned onto the same trip, the Blocked order is removed from the trip with a Blocked status. It is also possible to split an order between legs, and place the next leg on hold.

Once an order is in the Blocked status, a RED status label, showing 'Blocked' is displayed. The user is able to enter a description why the order is moved to Blocked status. This note will display in the Execution panel on the order. It is also possible to update and save the note from this field.

Once an order is blocked, it cannot be planned to a resource, some order functions (ie: splitting the order) are available, however it is not possible to create an intermodal connection.

Blocked Orders

Block single order with 'To Plan' status:

  • In the Order, scroll to the Execution panel. On the right side of the panel header, there is a new option to 'Block execution'. Click this option and enter a description / reason for the hold on the order. Click SAVE.

  • The order status will update to show 'Blocked' and the order will move from the TO PLAN tab, to the BLOCKED tab.

    • The route status will update to show red for both the Collect and Delivery stops.

    • Planning functions are not available for this order while it is in a Blocked status.

  • To Unblock the order, and make it available for planning, click into the order and navigate to the Execution panel. Select 'Unblock Execution' from the panel menu header.

Block order - Multiple orders / Remove & block an order:

If there are multiple orders planned to a resource, it is possible to set a single order from the trip On hold.

  • From the trip, navigate to the Route panel and find the order that needs to be blocked. In the 3dot menu to the right of the order, select the option to Block Order. Enter the reason for the hold and click SAVE.

Blocked orders - Split & hold order:

In the event part of an order cannot be executed, it is possible to split the order and set the new legs to a blocked status.

Restricted functions when BLOCKED:

  • Plan / Assign resource to the order. It is not possible to plan a Blocked order to a resource.

  • Create Intermodal connection. If an order is in a Blocked status, it is not possible to create an intermodal connection, and a warning will display.
