Introduction
We use PTV for our route and toll cost calculation. The logic is slightly different for the toll cost calculation on the order and on the trip. A default Routing Profile can be configured in both Transport Services and against the Vehicle Category, in order to provide better visibility and control over how orders and trips route, and subsequently what toll costs are included. When creating an order, the default routing profile will pull from the Transport Services configured. Once a resource is assigned and the trip is created, the routing profile will be updated based on the Vehicle Category.
Configuring Routing Profiles
Set default routing for orders:
Navigate to Configuration>Order Input
From the left-hand menu, select Transport Services
Select the Transport Service to update.
Navigate to the 'Revenue, Cost & Toll Calculation' section
Select the appropriate Routing Profile from the drop down
Save the profile.
You will need to set the routing profile for each Transport Service offered. Profiles can be unique to each service.
Set default routing for trips:
Navigate to Configuration>Order Input
From the left-hand menu, select Vehicle Categories
Select the Vehicle Category to update.
Navigate to the 'Vehicle Type' section
Select the appropriate Routing Profile from the drop down
Save the profile.

Toll cost on orders
If no Routing Profile is configured, the default PTV routing profile "Typical 7.49t light duty truck with 2 axles (EUR_TRUCK_7_49T)" is selected. Under General Info, the Route details will simply display the mileage and time:
Once the Routing Profile is configured it will display in the General Info>Route section on the order.
Routing profiles will apply to orders created AFTER the profile has been set.
Toll cost on trips
Once a Resource is assigned to a Trip, the vehicle profile associated to the resource is used to generate the routing. This does not impact the routing associated to the order, which will still show the default used (if any), when the order was originally created.
