Creating a Credit Note from an existing invoice/order

  • To credit an invoice from an existing invoice that is linked to the orders, navigate to the invoice that you have created for that specific order and open the invoice page

  • Select the specific cost line that you would like to credit and choose "Create Credit Note."

  • Make the selection of the desired action between creating a draft credit note, creating a credit note or adding the charge to an existing credit note and save the preferences

  • Adjust the credited amount if necessary

  • Generate the PDF credit note

  • Send the generated credit note to the customer

  • Post the credit note to accounting

⚠️ Can also be executed in BULK via Quick actions or in the credit note list view.


The credit note that you have created will be found under the Credit notes column in the list view:


You can also view the credit note and the credited amount in the order page. Changes to the amount can be made(unless posted to accounting) via the pen icon on the order page:

Creating Standalone Credit Note

  • Navigate to the credit notes page

  • Click on "Create credit note" button

  • Select the customer, currency, Credit note issue date and save the settings

  • In the draft credit note, click on "add charge" button to start adding credited amounts and

  • Apply changes or add extra credit amounts

  • Generate the PDF credit note

  • Send the generated credit note to the customer

  • Post the credit note to accounting

⚠️ Can also be executed in BULK via Quick actions or in the credit note list view.



Re invoicing credit note charges

Due to the mistakes done in an invoice, you might need to create create a credit note from the invoice and re-invoice the order.

This is now possible by simply opening the Credit Note page, selecting the charges on the credit note to be re-invoiced and adding them to a new or existing invoice.


After you have created a new invoice from these selected charges, they will also automatically be re-added to your order in an additional line as in example below:
